Established in 2019, The Gospel is a dedicated rye whiskey distillery, sourcing rye grain from an exclusive farm in the Murray Mallee region of SA, one of the driest regions in the driest country in the world.

Set in the buzzing suburb of Brunswick, Melbourne, founders Ben Bowles and Andrew Fitzgerald used their expertise and passion to imagine and create a distillery so big as to match their dreams, but small enough to keep them hands on, doing what they loved.

With the help of some trusty family and friends, the distillery was crafted over an 18-month period. It features a six-metre-high continuous column still, designed and built in-house, as well as a bespoke copper pot still.

Rounding out the team are an experienced group of booze industry experts, all of whom bring their expertise and passion in the pursuit of whiskey truth.
